Crossover Country Style+Jana Kramer Meet Up

Friday, March 14, 2014

I'm not sure if it's universal, but I get a thrill from having a reason to wear my cowboy boots. Concerts, college football, country dance halls...all have me reaching for my beloved boots. Something i've noticed at concerts lately (and in country music) is the difference in attire paired with the boots. Country style has evolved just as country music has. Taylor Swift is considered a crossover artist because of her smooth transition into pop music while maintaining her country roots. I think this kind of career transition has really changed the outlook on country style. Things are a bit hippie/boho meets Loretta Lynn these days. I love it! I don't think style should be limited to categories. So if you want to pair leather pants with ombre hair, a fringed out t-shirt & boots? Go for it. I had the blessing of meeting with Jana Kramer this weekend & I couldn't help but notice her simple, rocker/hippie take on traditional country style. Her tiny frame was sporting leather pants, simple top & ombre' locks. She also stacked on the black beaded bracelets & glammed up a chambray over-shirt with 4 inch silver heels. Such a sweetheart with a great outlook on style--don't be afraid to mix it up!
Live inspired & take risks. Take pieces & add them to what you know you like. You might be pleasantly surprised with what you come up with! xoxo
